Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., penne or fusilli)
- 300 g chicken breast fillets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 200 ml heavy cream
- 100 g Parmesan cheese, grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted water. Drain and set aside.
2. Cut the chicken fillets into strips. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat and add the chicken pieces. Cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pan. Sauté for another 2-3 minutes until the onion is soft.
4. Pour the heavy cream into the pan and stir. Allow it to simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.
5. Add the cooked pasta and grated Parmesan cheese to the pan. Mix well until the pasta is coated in the sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
6. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh basil.
