A simple and flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions in a pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet and sauté until the garlic is golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to coat in the garlic oil.
5. If the mixture seems dry, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until you reach desired consistency.
6. Season with salt to taste and toss in chopped parsley.
7. Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
