A simple yet flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and a hint of red pepper flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and sliced garlic. Cook until the garlic is golden and fragrant, about 2 minutes.
3. Add the red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
4. Toss the cooked spaghetti into the skillet and mix well, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is achieved.
5. Season with salt to taste and stir in chopped parsley.
6. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
