Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 500 g fresh berries (e.g., blueberries, raspberries, lingonberries)
- 2 tablespoons sugar (or to taste)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 100 ml water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar (optional)
Instructions:
1. Rinse the berries thoroughly and remove any damaged ones.
2. Place the berries, sugar, lemon juice, and water in a saucepan.
3. Heat the mixture over medium heat and cook for about 10-15 minutes until the berries are soft and the mixture has thickened slightly.
4. Add the vanilla sugar if using, and mix well.
5. Allow the compote to cool before freezing.
6. Pour the compote into freezer containers and freeze, or serve immediately.
