Ingredients:
- 4 large bell peppers (preferably in different colors)
- 300 g ground beef or chicken
- 1 cup rice
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 400 g crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheese (e.g., mozzarella or cheddar)
- Olive oil for frying
Instructions:
1. Heat olive oil in a skillet and add chopped onion and garlic. Sauté until soft.
2. Add ground meat to the skillet and cook until browned. Season with salt, pepper, paprika powder, and oregano.
3. Cook rice according to package instructions and mix it into the meat mixture.
4. Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds. Fill the peppers with the rice and meat mixture.
5. Place the stuffed peppers in a baking dish and pour crushed tomatoes over them.
6. Cover the dish with foil and bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 30 minutes.
7. Remove the foil, sprinkle cheese on top of the peppers, and bake for an additional 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and golden.
