A delicious and hearty dish that combines ground meat, peppers, and spices, perfect for a weeknight dinner or a weekend feast. Preparation time: 30 minutes
Serving size: 4 servings
Ingredients
- 500 g crushed tomatoes - 1 bell pepper
- 1 onion
- A pinch of five pepper mix
- 400 g ground beef
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- 70 g tomato paste
- 3-4 cloves of garlic
- 2 tsp oregano
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 can white beans in tomato sauce (425 g, 44% beans)
- 3 chili peppers
- A splash of olive oil
Instructions
1. Peel and chop the onion and garlic. Heat a splash of olive oil in a large skillet. 2. Add the onion and garlic to the skillet, cooking until soft and golden.
3. Add the ground beef to the skillet and brown it thoroughly.
4. Chop the bell pepper and chili peppers, then add them to the skillet and cook for a moment.
5. Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, cumin, cinnamon, paprika powder, oregano, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
6. Allow the mixture to simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes.
7. Rinse the white beans and add them to the skillet. Let simmer for another 5-10 minutes.
8. Taste and adjust seasoning with more salt or spices if needed. Serve warm.
