Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., penne or fusilli)
- 400 g chicken fillets
- 200 ml cream
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 150 g Parmesan cheese (grated)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted water. Drain and reserve a little cooking water.
2. Peel and chop the onion and garlic. Cut the chicken fillets into bite-sized pieces.
3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, sautéing until soft.
4. Add the chicken pieces to the skillet and cook until they are fully cooked and golden brown. Season with salt and pepper.
5. Pour the cream into the skillet and mix well. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and stir until the cheese melts and the sauce is smooth.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and stir to coat the pasta in the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a bit of reserved pasta water.
7. Serve the dish garnished with fresh basil.
