Ingredients
- 30-50 g salt pork - A knob of butter
- 1 kg reindeer meat
- Cracked black pepper
- 4 crushed juniper berries
- Game stock, to taste
- 2-4 garlic cloves
- ½-1 beef stock cube (optional)
- 1 large onion
Instructions
1. In a pot, add a knob of butter and the slices of salt pork. Lightly brown the pork but do not burn it. 2. Add the sliced onion and crushed garlic cloves to the pot. Sauté them for a short while until they soften.
3. Gradually add the reindeer meat and mix the ingredients well.
4. Finally, add the beef stock cube (if using), game stock, and seasonings.
5. Allow the stew to simmer on low heat for about 30-40 minutes until the meat is tender and the flavors have melded together.
