A hearty and flavorful stew made with venison and a variety of vegetables, perfect for a large gathering. Preparation Time: 3 hours
Serving Size: 20 servings
Ingredients:
- 8 large red onions
- 7 kg of boiling potatoes
- 1 deer (approximately 350 kg), cut into pieces
- 4½ kg of carrots, halved
- 1 x 100L aluminum/steel barrel
- 3 liters of milk
- 75 liters of water
- Sea salt, to taste
- Whole peppercorns, to taste
- 5 large heads of cabbage
- 4 handfuls of pine needles
Instructions:
1. Add the water to the metal barrel.
2. Peel and chop the red onions, boiling potatoes, carrots, and cabbage.
3. Add all the vegetables to the barrel.
4. Cut the deer into pieces and add the meat to the barrel.
5. Pour the milk into the barrel.
6. Season with salt and whole peppercorns to taste.
7. Add the pine needles to the barrel.
8. Cook everything together for a long time until all ingredients are cooked through and the flavors meld.
9. Serve the stew warm.
