A delicious deep-fried cauliflower dish served with tomato-pepper salsa. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 head of cauliflower, cut into florets
- 1 egg
- 1½ cups milk
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- Vegetable oil for deep frying
- Salt, for serving
- Tomato-pepper salsa
Instructions:
1. Boil the cauliflower florets in salted water for about 5 minutes until slightly tender. Drain and let cool.
2. In a bowl, whisk together the egg and milk. Gradually add the flour and mix until smooth.
3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or pot over medium-high heat.
4. Dip the cauliflower florets into the batter and fry them in the hot oil until golden brown.
5. Remove the fried cauliflower and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
6. Serve warm with a sprinkle of salt and alongside tomato-pepper salsa.
