This authentic Roman flatbread pizza is perfect for a delicious dinner or as a snack. The recipe is easy to follow, and the result is heavenly in taste!

Ingredients:

- 500 g all-purpose flour
- 350 ml warm water
- 10 g salt
- 5 g sugar
- 7 g dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 200 g tomato sauce
- 250 g mozzarella cheese, diced
- Fresh basil leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. In a bowl, mix dry yeast, sugar, and warm water. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until it starts bubbling.
2. Add the flour and salt to the mixture. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
3. Incorporate the olive oil and knead for a few more minutes.
4. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours until it doubles in size.
5. Pour the risen dough onto a floured surface and stretch it into a rectangular shape.
6. Transfer the dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and spread the tomato sauce evenly over the base.
7. Add the diced mozzarella and season with salt and pepper.
8. Bake the pizza at 220°C (428°F) for about 15-20 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
9. Remove the pizza from the oven and top with fresh basil leaves before serving.
