Delicious gingerbread cookies that add to the festive spirit. They are spicy, crispy, and easy to make.
Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: About 30 cookies
Ingredients:
- 2 dl sugar
- 1 dl syrup
- 150 g butter
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp ginger
- 1 tsp cloves
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 dl milk
- 5 dl all-purpose flour
Instructions:
1. Melt the butter in a saucepan and add the sugar, syrup, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves. Heat the mixture until the sugar has dissolved.
2. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
3. Add the milk and mix well.
4. Combine the flour and baking soda in a separate bowl. Gradually add the flour mixture to the dough and knead until smooth.
5. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
6. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F).
7. Roll out the dough to a thin sheet on a floured surface and cut out desired shapes for the cookies.
8. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the oven for about 8-10 minutes.
9. Allow the cookies to cool before decorating.
