A festive dish featuring pork chops cooked in a spiced sauce with gingerbread cookies.
Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 6 servings
Ingredients:
- ½ tbsp cardamom
- 50 g butter
- ½ dl tomato ketchup
- 6 gingerbread cookies
- 6 boneless pork chops
- 1.5 l water
- 2 onions, quartered
- Allspice, to taste
- 2 tbsp paprika powder
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1.5 dl wheat flour
Instructions:
1. Melt the butter in a pan and brown the wheat flour for about 10 minutes.
2. Add the paprika powder and mix well.
3. Stir in the tomato ketchup until smooth.
4. Pour in the water, add the quartered onions, allspice, salt, and cardamom. Bring to a boil.
5. Add the pork chops and gingerbread cookies to the sauce. Simmer on low heat for about 30 minutes.
6. Serve warm with potatoes or rice.
