Italian Pork Chops

Serving Size: 6 servings
Ingredients:
- 6 pork chops
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- White pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons basil
- 1 tablespoon sage
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons rosemary
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 6 whole onions
- 125 g diced bacon
- 4 dl crushed tomatoes or tomato juice
- ½ dl Italian red wine
- 200 g olives
- 2 dl water
Instructions:
1. Season the pork chops with salt, black pepper, and white pepper.
2. In a large skillet, heat the butter over medium heat and brown the pork chops on both sides.
3. Add the diced bacon, whole onions, chopped carrots, and herbs to the skillet. Sauté until the onions are soft.
4. Pour in the crushed tomatoes, red wine, and water. Stir well to combine.
5. Add the olives and simmer on low heat for about 30 minutes, until the pork chops are cooked through.
6. Serve warm with potatoes or rice.
