Fiery Sweet Texas Pete Pulled Pork

A deliciously spicy and sweet pulled pork perfect for sandwiches! Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 8-10 hours
Serving size: 6-8 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 kg pork shoulder
- 1 dl Texas Pete Fiery Sweet sauce
- 2 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 dl apple cider vinegar
- 1 dl water
- Hamburger buns (for serving)
- Coleslaw or other sides (for serving)
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix together smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
2. Rub the spice mixture evenly over the pork shoulder.
3. Place the pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Pour the Texas Pete Fiery Sweet sauce, apple cider vinegar, and water over the meat.
4. Cook on low for 8-10 hours at 110-120 °C until the meat is tender and easily shredded.
5. Remove the pork from the cooker and let it rest for about 15 minutes. Shred the meat using two forks.
6. Serve the pulled pork on hamburger buns with coleslaw. Add extra Texas Pete sauce if desired.
