Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., spaghetti or penne)
- 300 g chicken fillets
- 200 ml cream
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 100 g grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions in salted water. Drain and reserve a bit of the cooking water.
2. Cut the chicken fillets into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper.
3. Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sautéing for a few minutes until softened.
4. Add the chicken pieces to the pan and cook until they are fully cooked and golden brown.
5. Pour the cream into the pan and stir. Add the Parmesan cheese and mix until the cheese melts and the sauce is creamy.
6. Toss the cooked pasta into the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved cooking water to reach your desired consistency.
7. Serve the pasta garnished with fresh basil.
