A simple and flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic and olive oil. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing until the garlic is golden and fragrant (about 2 minutes).
3. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta cooking water, then drain the spaghetti.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic oil, tossing to coat. If needed, add a little reserved pasta water to help combine.
5. Season with salt to taste and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
6. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
