A delicious pasta bake combining chili and fresh herbs, easy to prepare and kid-friendly. Prep time is about 40 minutes. Serves 4.

Ingredients:

- 300 g pasta
- 400 g ground beef (or chicken)
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 red chili, finely chopped (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 400 g crushed tomatoes
- 200 ml cream
- 150 g grated cheese (e.g., mozzarella or cheddar)
- Fresh herbs for garnish (e.g., parsley or basil)

Instructions:

1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add the ground meat. Brown the meat until cooked through.
3. Add the chopped onion, garlic, and chili to the pan. Sauté until the onions are soft.
4. Season the mixture with salt, pepper, oregano, and basil. Mix well.
5. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and cream. Let it simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.
6. Stir the cooked pasta into the sauce and transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
7. Sprinkle the grated cheese over the pasta bake.
8. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for about 20 minutes, until the cheese is golden brown.
9. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
