Ingredients:
- 200 g pasta (e.g., spaghetti or fusilli)
- 400 g fresh tomatoes (cherry or regular)
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 chili (e.g., fresh red or green)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Fresh basil (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta in salted water according to package instructions until al dente.
2. Chop the tomatoes and garlic. Remove the seeds from the chili and finely chop it.
3. Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and chili, and sauté for about one minute until the garlic is golden.
4. Add the chopped tomatoes to the pan and season with salt and black pepper. Let the sauce simmer for about 5-7 minutes until the tomatoes soften.
5. Once the pasta is cooked, drain it and add it to the sauce in the pan. Mix well.
6. Serve with fresh basil if desired.
