A delicious tomato-based sausage sauce that is quick and easy to prepare. Perfect as an addition to pasta or potatoes. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 400 g sausages - 1 can (400 g) crushed tomatoes
- 1 dl pickled onions
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp sugar (optional)
Instructions:
1. Peel and chop the onion and garlic. 2. Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat, then add the chopped onions. Sauté until softened.
3. Add the sausages to the pan and cook until they are nicely browned.
4. Pour the crushed tomatoes into the pan and add the pickled onions, salt, black pepper, oregano, and sugar.
5. Mix well and let the sauce simmer for about 15 minutes.
6. Serve the sauce over pasta or potatoes.
