A tender meatloaf wrapped in crispy puff pastry with a delicious mushroom and onion filling. Perfect for dinner or festive occasions!

Serving Size: 4-6 servings

Ingredients:

- 500 g ground beef
- 1 package puff pastry
- 200 g mushrooms
- 1 large onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 1 egg (for glazing)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs (e.g., thyme or parsley)
- Oil for frying

Instructions:

1. Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onion and garlic. Sauté until soft.
2. Add chopped mushrooms to the pan and cook until the moisture has evaporated. Season with salt, pepper, and herbs. Allow to cool.
3. In a bowl, mix ground beef, cooled mushroom mixture, and mustard. Season as needed.
4. Roll out the puff pastry into a sheet and place the meat mixture in the center. Shape it into a loaf.
5. Fold the pastry over the meat and pinch the seams tightly. Brush the top with beaten egg.
6. Bake at 200°C (400°F) for about 25-30 minutes, until the pastry is golden brown and crispy.
7. Allow to cool for a moment before serving.
