Hoisin Beef Stir-Fry

Spicy and delicious hoisin beef, quickly prepared and perfect for a weeknight dinner. Preparation Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:
- 1 small clove garlic - 1 cup hoisin sauce
- 240 g beef tenderloin, trimmed
- 1 large onion
- Rice bran oil for frying
- ½ cup water
- 16 pieces straw mushrooms (frozen)
Instructions:
1. Thaw the straw mushrooms in advance. 2. Peel the onion and slice it lengthwise into strips.
3. Peel the garlic and dice it into small pieces.
4. Squeeze any excess moisture from the mushrooms and cut them into smaller pieces if necessary.
5. Heat rice bran oil in a skillet over medium heat.
6. Add the onion strips and sauté for a few minutes until they soften.
7. Add the garlic to the pan and cook for another minute.
8. Add the beef to the pan and cook until browned.
9. Pour the hoisin sauce and water into the pan, mixing well.
10. Add the thawed straw mushrooms and combine all the ingredients.
11. Allow to simmer on low heat for about 5-10 minutes until the beef is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
