Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 kg potatoes
- 2 dl cream
- 1 dl milk
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 100 g cheese (e.g., Emmental or Gruyère), grated
- 1 tbsp butter (for greasing the dish)
- Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Peel and slice the potatoes into thin slices.
2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
3. Layer the potato slices in the greased dish.
4. In a bowl, mix together the cream, milk, crushed garlic, salt, and black pepper.
5. Pour the cream mixture over the potatoes in the dish.
6. Sprinkle the grated cheese over the top of the potatoes.
7. Cover the dish with foil and bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 40 minutes.
8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, until the top is golden brown.
9. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
