A simple and delicious recipe for making sushi rice, perfect for your favorite sushi rolls.

Ingredients:

- 1 cup sushi rice
- 1 cup water
- 3 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

1. Rinse the sushi rice in a large bowl under cold water until the water runs clear. Drain the rice well.
2. Place the rinsed rice in a pot, add the water, and bring to a boil. Once boiling, cover the pot with a lid, reduce the heat, and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
3. Remove the pot from heat and let the rice sit, covered, for about 15 minutes.
4. In a small bowl, combine the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
5. Transfer the cooked rice to a large bowl and drizzle the vinegar mixture over the rice. Gently fold the mixture into the rice using two wooden spatulas, being careful not to mash the rice. Once the rice is at room temperature, it is ready to be used for sushi.
