- 1 can (400 g) chickpeas, rinsed and drained
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh herbs (e.g., parsley or basil), chopped
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, combine chickpeas, rolled oats, onion, garlic, bell pepper, paprika powder, salt, and black pepper.
2. Mash the ingredients with a fork or blend them in a food processor until the mixture is smooth but slightly chunky.
3. Stir in the chopped herbs and mix well.
4. Shape the mixture into patties (about 4 pieces).
5. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
6. Fry the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
7. Serve warm, for example with salad or bread.
