Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- Salt to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2 minutes.
3. Add the red chili flakes and sauté for another 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet along with reserved pasta water. Toss to combine and coat the pasta in the garlic oil.
5. Season with salt to taste and toss in the chopped parsley.
6. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
