A simple yet flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:
- 400g spaghetti
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and cook until fragrant and golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
3. Stir in the red chili flakes and cook for another minute.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to combine with the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add some reserved pasta water to achieve desired consistency.
5. Season with salt to taste and toss in chopped parsley.
6. Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
