Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti - 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Boil salted water in a large pot and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta. 2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2 minutes.
3. Add the red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
4. Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet and mix well, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a light sauce.
5. Season with salt to taste and garnish with fresh parsley.
6. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
