A simple and delicious Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes.

Ingredients:
- 400g spaghetti
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the sliced garlic and cook until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
3. Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for another minute.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time until you reach the desired consistency.
5. Season with salt to taste and mix in the chopped parsley.
6. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
