Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
4. Stir in the red chili flakes and cook for another 30 seconds.
5. Once the pasta is cooked, reserve a cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
6. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing it in the garlic oil.
7. If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water until it reaches your desired consistency.
8. Season with salt to taste and mix well.
9. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
