Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

Spaghetti Aglio e Olio
recipe
A simple and classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and red pepper flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- Spaghetti (200g)
- Olive oil (4 tablespoons)
- Garlic (4 cloves, thinly sliced)
- Red pepper flakes (1 teaspoon)
- Fresh parsley (a handful, chopped)
- Salt (to taste)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for serving)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
3. Add the red pepper flakes to the skillet and stir for about 30 seconds.
4. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet along with the reserved pasta water. Toss everything together until the spaghetti is well coated with the oil and garlic mixture.
5. Remove from heat, stir in the chopped parsley, and season with salt to taste.
6. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
