Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

Spaghetti Aglio e Olio
recipe
A simple and classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and a hint of chili. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
3. Add the red pepper flakes and stir for 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add some reserved pasta water a little at a time until you reach the desired consistency.
5. Season with salt to taste and toss in the chopped parsley.
6. Serve immediately, with grated Parmesan cheese on top if desired.
