A classic Italian pasta dish that's quick, simple, and full of flavor. Perfect for a weeknight dinner!

Ingredients:
- 400g spaghetti
- 6 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
- Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and then drain the pasta.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté until the garlic is golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
3. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time until the pasta is well coated and the sauce is to your liking.
4. Season with salt to taste and toss in chopped parsley.
5. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
