Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A simple and flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation time: 15 minutes
Serving size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti - 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti. 2. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
3. Stir in the red chili flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water to achieve the desired consistency.
5. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
6. Serve immediately and enjoy!
