A simple and flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and red pepper flakes.

Ingredients:
- 400g spaghetti
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 100ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until the garlic is golden but not burnt.
4. Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
5. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic oil. Toss well to coat the pasta. If the mixture seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.
6. Season with salt to taste and stir in the chopped parsley.
7. Serve immediately, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
