Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and cook until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
3. Add the red pepper flakes to the oil and stir for about 30 seconds, then add the drained spaghetti to the skillet.
4. Toss the spaghetti in the garlic oil, adding reserved pasta water as needed to help coat the pasta. Season with salt to taste.
5. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
