A simple yet flavorful Italian pasta dish with garlic and olive oil.

Ingredients:
- 400g spaghetti
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
3. Add the red pepper flakes and cook for another 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss well to coat in the garlic oil.
5. If the pasta seems dry, add some reserved pasta water, a little at a time, until desired consistency is reached.
6. Season with salt and stir in the chopped parsley.
7. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
