Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

Spaghetti Aglio e Olio
recipe
Description: A classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and a hint of red pepper flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 400g spaghetti
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
3. Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
4. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add some reserved pasta water gradually until you reach the desired consistency.
5. Season with salt to taste and mix in chopped parsley.
6. Serve immediately, garnished with additional parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
