A simple and classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and red pepper flakes.

Ingredients:

- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions:

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
3. Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for another 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to combine with the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
5. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve hot, with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
