Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

Quick and simple garlic pasta dish. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add sliced garlic to the skillet and sauté until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
4. Stir in red pepper flakes and cook for another minute.
5. Once the spaghetti is done, reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the rest.
6. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with garlic oil, tossing to coat.
7. If the pasta seems dry, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
8. Season with salt to taste and garnish with fresh parsley.
9. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
