Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A simple and delicious Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
3. Add the red chili flakes to the skillet and stir for another minute.
4. Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet, adding a bit of the reserved pasta water to create a light sauce. Mix well to coat the pasta with the oil and garlic.
5. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped parsley. Optionally, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
6. Serve immediately and enjoy!
