Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A simple yet flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and red pepper flakes. Preparation time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Be careful not to burn it.
3. Add red pepper flakes to the skillet and stir for about 30 seconds.
4. Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet and mix well, adding reserved pasta water gradually until you reach your desired consistency.
5. Season with salt to taste.
6. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
