Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

Spaghetti Aglio e Olio
recipe
A classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation time: 20 minutes
Serving size: 2
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti - 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta. 2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and garlic. Sauté until the garlic is golden and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
3. Add the red pepper flakes and cook for another minute.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to coat in the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add a bit of the reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.
5. Season with salt to taste.
6. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
7. Serve immediately and enjoy!
