Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic slices and sauté until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
3. Add the red chili flakes to the skillet and stir for 30 seconds.
4. Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet, along with a splash of the reserved pasta water. Stir well to coat the pasta in the garlic oil.
5. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve immediately, with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
