A classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Perfect for a quick and flavorful meal. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and then drain the pasta.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sliced garlic. Sauté until the garlic is golden and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
3. Stir in red pepper flakes and cook for another 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet along with a little reserved pasta water to help coat the pasta. Toss to combine.
5. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve hot with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
