A simple yet flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and red pepper flakes.

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden and fragrant, about 2 minutes.
3. Add the red pepper flakes to the skillet and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
4. Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and then drain the rest.
5. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to combine with the garlic oil. If needed, add a bit of the reserved pasta water to help coat the spaghetti.
6. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
