A classic Italian pasta dish with garlic, olive oil, and a hint of red pepper flakes.

Ingredients:
- 400g spaghetti
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 100ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until it turns golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
4. Stir in the red pepper flakes and sauté for another minute.
5. Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve a cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
6. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic oil. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a light sauce.
7. Season with salt to taste.
8. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
