Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti - 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti. 2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and sliced garlic. Sauté until the garlic is golden and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes, being careful not to burn it.
3. Add the red chili flakes and sauté for an additional minute.
4. Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet with the garlic oil and mix well. If the pasta seems dry, add some reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
5. Season with salt to taste and remove from heat.
6. Serve the pasta hot, garnished with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
