Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

Spaghetti Aglio e Olio
recipe
A classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner! Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic to the skillet and sauté until golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
4. Stir in the red chili flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
5. Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
6. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic and oil, tossing well to coat.
7. If the pasta seems dry, add a bit of the reserved pasta water until the desired consistency is reached.
8. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped parsley and Parmesan cheese, if desired.
9. Serve immediately and enjoy!
