Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

Spaghetti Aglio e Olio
recipe
A classic Italian pasta dish that is simple yet flavorful, made with garlic, olive oil, and red pepper flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2
Ingredients:
- Spaghetti - 200g - Olive oil - 4 tablespoons
- Garlic - 4 cloves, thinly sliced
- Red pepper flakes - 1 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese - for serving (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti. 2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
3. Add the red pepper flakes to the skillet and stir for about 30 seconds to release the flavors.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic oil. If needed, add a little reserved pasta water to help combine.
5. Stir in the chopped parsley and season with salt to taste.
6. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
